MEERFEE

Year of
Construction:
1979
Shipyard: Cheoy Lee
in Honkong (China)
Type: clipper ketch
Design: Bill Luders
Total Length: 16.75m

The clipper ketch MEERFEE is a "Cheoy Lee 48" and represents in a typical way the tasteful comfort, made in the Far East (China and Taiwan).
During the last decades, this real blue water sailing vessel became very popular among skippers. The nostalgic ketch (design: Bill Luders)
- mostly with clipper bow - and the excellent timber finish calls to mind the classic epoch of sailing vessels. Wherever it appears, it is admired. Very interesting is also the cost effectiveness.
During old-timer regattas, there are also special classes - "spirit of tradition" - to do justice to these vessels beside the "real" classic vessels.
So, the MEERFEE has already won the first prize in the group during the famous regatta "Trofeo Almirante Conde de Barcelona"
(Mallorca).
